Curriculum & Learning Modules
1,000 Hours of immersive theory and hands-on laboratory experienceRigorous hygiene, sterilization of esthetic implements, disinfection chemicals, bloodborne pathogen safety, and British Columbia health inspection compliance.
Skin histology, diagnostic skin typing, classical European facial massage, steaming, comedone extraction, calming masks, and electrotherapy modalities (high frequency and galvanic currents).
Anatomy of the hand, arm, and foot. Classical and spa manicure/pedicure techniques, paraffin treatments, exfoliating foot scrubs, gel polish application, and nail disorder contraindications.
Hair growth cycles, soft and hard strip waxing techniques, eyebrow mapping, facial hair shaping, bikini and Brazilian waxing protocols, and post-depilatory skin soothing.
Body exfoliation rituals, thermal mud and seaweed body wraps, essential oil blending for stress relief, relaxation techniques, and spa client comfort staging.
Practical application on genuine clients in our Surrey campus student clinic. Service scheduling, consultation cards, treatment delivery, point-of-sale management, and customer relations.
Student Teaching Spa Experience

Admissions Criteria
- High School Graduation: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent from British Columbia or other Canadian jurisdiction.
- Mature Student Pathway: 19 years of age or older prior to the first day of class and passing score on Edenbrook College’s admissions assessment.
- Language Competency: Proficient spoken and written English skills (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent for international applicants).
- Admissions Consultation: 30-minute campus tour and advisor interview to discuss program expectations and career goals.
