- High school diploma or equivalent, or
- Be at least 19 years of age at the start of the program.
Applicants may need to demonstrate English language proficiency through recognized tests such as IELTS or TOEFL if applicable.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the general admission requirements and demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the approved pathways below.
General Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- ✓ High School Graduate: Successful completion of secondary education.
- ✓ Mature Student Status: Applicants who are 19 years of age or older prior to the start of the program, applicable to British Columbia.
English Language Proficiency Requirements
All applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English. This requirement can be fulfilled through standardized test results or one of the approved alternative pathways listed below.

Alternative Measures
Applicants who do not have standardized test results may satisfy the language requirement through one of the following options:
Option 1: Secondary Education in English
Successful completion of full-time secondary education in an approved country where English is a principal language and the primary language of instruction.
- 3 years of full-time study covering Grades 8–12; or
- 2 years of full-time study if restricted to Grades 10, 11, or 12.
Proof Required: Official high school transcripts, completion documentation of a BC Adult Graduation program, or international credentials evaluated and recognized by WES, ICES, or IQAS.
Option 2: Post-Secondary Education in English
Successful completion of at least 2 years of full-time post-secondary education in an approved country where English is a principal language and the primary language of instruction.
Note: Language development or English Language Learning, ELL, courses cannot be counted toward this 2-year requirement.
Proof Required: Official academic transcripts or international credentials evaluated and recognized by WES, ICES, or IQAS.
Option 3: Accuplacer Assessment for Domestic Mature Students Facing Barriers
This option is exclusively reserved for domestic mature students who face systemic barriers and cannot access or provide official secondary or post-secondary academic records.
To qualify for this pathway, the applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Age & Status: Be 19 years of age or older at the program’s start date and hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Attestation: Provide a signed attestation confirming at least 3 years of full-time instruction in English in a country where English is a principal language, excluding ELL or language development courses.
- Assessment: Complete the Accuplacer English Assessment Next-Generation and meet or exceed the required benchmarks.
